French designer Jean Paul Gaultier will launch Kokorico, a new fragrance for men, in September. The name is a reference to the rooster’s cry in French – Cocorico – as the rooster is a symbol of France. The woody cocoa fragrance features notes of fig leaves, raw cacao bean and wood. The head notes feature fig leaves for energy. The heart showcases a raw and bitter cacao scent and the base notes are woods, for virility and power.

The bottle itself features a jet-black profile of a male with “Kokorico” written across his face in bold red. The design embodies the sleek masculinity of his fragrance. Kokorico will be available in Eau de Toilette and with matching grooming products.
